PROJECT
Bipo Vite !
CHU de Montpellier

Diagnosing bipolar disorder is often a lengthy and complex process, frequently delaying access to appropriate care.
To address this challenge, Montpellier University Hospital – with support from the Erié Foundation – is conducting research to validate bipolar disorder biomarkers. The project aims to develop a routine blood test that provides general practitioners with a simple screening tool, helping them identify potential cases early on and facilitate prompt referral to specialists.
For future patients, this early detection tool could eliminate months of uncertainty and enable timely and targeted treatment. Results of the study are expected to be published in 2028.
