Free, Immediate, Psychological Support Services for Families (Relais gratuits et sans délai de soutien psychologique pour les familles)
Faced with overstretched and hard-to-navigate psychological support services, many families give up trying to seek help or remain unsure of where to find support. Founded in 1999 by psychoanalyst Sophie Marinopoulos, the organization Les Pâtes au Beurre offers free and anonymous walk-in counseling sessions provided by psychologists, psychiatrists, and psychomotor therapists. Families are welcome even without their child, and regardless of the child’s age, to receive psychological support in a simple and accessible way.
The network now includes 92 professionals and 21 branches in France and Belgium, along with a national helpline: “Le Fil des Pâtes au Beurre.” Through seed funding, the Erié Foundation supports the structuring of the federation as the umbrella organization for all its local chapters, as well as the replication of its model. This initiative is expected to lead to the opening of four new sites by 2027, as well as the launch of a national awareness campaign.
