Tejo

Belgium

Young people facing mental health challenges often experience delays in accessing care, causing their conditions to worsen.

Operating primarily in Flanders, the TEJO organization offers youth aged 10 to 20 short-term psychosocial support provided by professional volunteer therapists. Accessible without an appointment, completely anonymous, and free of charge, the program provides up to ten sessions, delivering immediate help in the first signs of difficulty.

In response to growing demand, the Erié Foundation supports TEJO in expanding capacity by opening one new center each year.

Since its foundation in 2010, TEJO has supported more than 20,000 young people and currently operates 23 centers across Flanders and Brussels.
