PROJECT

La Maison Perchée project

Paris

La Maison Perchée is an association that supports young adults living with mental health problems and their families. The house is in the 11th district of Paris and is run by people who provide a community space where regular activities are organized. Its café is open to the public with a gallery where works created by the young adults are exhibited and sold, which strengthens connections with the local community.

The association has also developed a digital online recovery support platform based on peer support, i.e. mutual aid by and for the people concerned. It provides access to support for anyone in need, thereby breaking the isolation of people living in ‘medical deserts’.

The Erie Foundation supported the opening of the reception center in Paris, the structuring of the association and the creation of the online platform.
