PROJECT

Nightline

France

Created in 2016, Nightline provides help for students in psychological distress throughout France, by setting up helplines managed by volunteer students.  The association also carries out de-stigmatization and training initiatives, together with lobbying activities with various authorities to promote research topics related to mental health.

The Erie Foundation has helped Nightline influence public policy in relation to student mental health by funding the analysis of helpline data to identify national trends. It has also supported the development of an advocacy unit within the association, which participates in research studies on the mental health needs of students. Nightline’s long-term ambition is to coordinate and collaborate with its various branches across Europe.
