PROJECT

Supporting the Mental Health of Young Caregivers (Soutenir la santé mentale des jeunes aidants)

La pause Brindille
Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes

Young caregivers are particularly vulnerable to isolation and mental health issues. Nonetheless, they still receive far too little support.

La Pause Brindille, an organization based in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, supports young caregivers aged 7 to 25 who have a family member with a disability, including mental health conditions. The Erié Foundation supports the development of this program, as well as the strengthening of the organization’s operational infrastructure, particularly in human resources.

Over the next three years, the organization aims to assist 5,000 young caregivers, including 2,000 who will receive individualized support, and to raise awareness among nearly 100,000 young people through prevention-focused content. The goal is to break the cycle of isolation, prevent mental health vulnerabilities, and promote greater equality of opportunity.
