PROJECT

Clubhouse

Clubhouse France
Bordeaux

The Clubhouse model began in the United States, with the aim of  creating places where anyone affected by mental illness, can find the resources and support they need to reintegrate themselves back into society and the workplace. They are run by both club ‘members’ and a team of employees. Members can meet each other to help organize the Clubhouse’s day-to-day tasks such as activities, preparing meals, cleaning the premises, welcoming visitors and bookkeeping.  This collective project is accompanied by tailored support for the individual.

The Clubhouse France project began in 2010, with the aim of  restoring dignity and empowerment to people suffering from mental illness. It now has nine clubhouses with over 1 500 members in Bordeaux, Paris, Lyons, Nantes, Lille, Bastia, Rennes, Rouen and Marseilles.
